Lightroom Classic: Exploring the New Tools

So many of us rely on Adobe Lightroom Classic as an essential part of our post-processing workflow. Yet, it can be challenging to keep up with the newest tools. Join DJP for an informative, online workshop that will de-mystify the Lightroom Classic features that have been recently added. Doug will explain what the new tools are designed to do and he’ll share guided demonstrations on how to use them. We’ll also have time for hands-on practice so you can try things out and get all your questions answered.

Over the course of the weekend, we’ll explore the following features and topics:

  • Assisted culling

  • Auto-stacking

  • Adaptive presets

  • Zoom while cropping

  • Point color with variance

  • Lens blur

  • Landscape masking

  • Enhanced detect object, dust and distraction removal

Whether you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed by recent updates, want to work more efficiently, or simply want to make sure you’re not overlooking an amazing new tool, this workshop will get you up to speed and confident navigating the new features in Lightroom Classic!

A NOTE ON SKILL LEVEL & TECHNOLOGY

This workshop is for participants with a solid foundation in using Adobe’s Lightroom Classic. By the start of the workshop, participants must have the latest Adobe Lightroom Classic downloaded and ready to use on their computers.

Although not required, two monitors are recommended for participants (a laptop and external monitor are fine). If you use just one monitor, contact Doug to discuss a workflow during the workshop. Doug will be using Lightroom Classic to demonstrate the new Adobe tools. If you use an editing software other than Lightroom Classic, the concepts of many of the tools can be adapted to these Adobe products as well; Lightroom CC and Photoshop Camera Raw.

It has been nearly 10 years since my RMSP courses with Doug—and, nearly ten years with my camera packed away waiting for me to have the time and the determination to pick it up again. I knew Doug’s attentive teaching style, cheerful personality and his expertise would be exactly where to start...I was right!
Thank you, Doug, for making your class such a great experience.
