OREGON COAST & CALIFORNIA REDWOODS
MAY 29 - JUNE 4, 2026
Join DJP for an unforgettable photo adventure that explores two of the West Coast’s most awe-inspiring natural landscapes: the redwoods of California and the coastline of Oregon.
We will first gather in the coastal town of Klamath, from where we will visit the towering groves of California Redwoods. Our workshop is timed to coincide with the spring rhododendron bloom, so we’ll look for classic compositions of their pink flowers among the redwoods, photograph light filtering through ancient trees, and hope for foggy conditions to make the hushed forest even more magical.
After three days immersed in the beauty of redwood forests, we will travel north along the spectacular coastline to Bandon, Oregon. The rhythm of tides and changing light on water and sky will guide shooting locations from dramatic sea stacks to colorful tidal pools, rolling waves, and sand-rippled beaches. The sound of the ocean will provide the perfect backdrop to endless photo opportunities.
Our week spent exploring majestic forests and rugged seascapes is sure to re-invigorate your creative spirit and inspire a collection of amazing images!
